This guide provides information about CMS features most commonly used by housing counseling agencies. To help agencies decide among CMS options, we created an at-a-glance comparison and detailed CMS profiles. Many of the CMSs in this guide provide resources and support for other programs your agency may operate. For more information about those features and resources, please contact the providers directly.
Methods
As of September 2023, HUD-approved 18 CMSs as publicly available for use (the others are exclusive). We reached out to each and developed a profile for each system based on survey responses and product demonstrations.
