The 2020 Census: Messages that Matter to African American Communities

September 26 @ 11:00 am - 1:30 pm

Free

Join the Chicago Urban League for a large group conversation designed to identify messages and outreach materials to encourage census participation in African American communities. As a Hard to Count population, African American communities have been routinely undercounted in past census data, resulting in a loss of their fair share of political representation, economic resources, and social services. Those representing other Hard to Count populations are encouraged to join the event as well, as some of the issues and potential messages that emerge during the conversation are likely applicable to other Hard to Count populations.

Attendees will collaborate, network, and enjoy lunch. Information and recommendations gathered from the event will be available to all attendees.
