Credit as an Asset Virtual Course

This training—a six-week webinar series—is designed to help non-profit community-based organizations and financial capability professionals enhance their understanding of credit building as an asset-building strategy as well as best practices in credit education. Credit Builders Alliance (CBA) will provide an overview of today’s credit reporting industry and then dive into tools, strategies and information to help participants and their organizations build and integrate credit building activities and products into their work and outcomes.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn from each other and credit experts about the growing field of credit building, including:

  • The importance of a good credit history as a financial asset;
  • The value of credit reports as a credit education and credit building tool;
  • Promoting access to responsible financial products; and
  • Measuring client credit outcomes.

The training will take place in 1.5 hour live webinar installments, on Wednesdays, beginning April 1 and concluding May 6th, from 1:00pm to 2:30 PM CT (2:00 to 3:30 PM ET).

Who should attend: Financial coaches and counselors, asset building practitioners, loan officers, social service providers, affordable housing resident services staff, and others interested in helping their communities build strong credit.

Cost: $225, $75 for CBA Members.
