Willie Heineke

Willie Heineke joined the Housing Action team in November 2015 as an AmeriCorps VISTA Leader. After completing his year of service as an AmeriCorps VISTA Leader in November 2016, Willie took on the new role of Outreach Coordinator. Through this role Willie coordinates the management and development of Housing Action’s VISTA Network. Additionally, Willie also works in Housing Action’s Public Education and Advocacy department. Prior to his time at Housing Action, Willie served two terms of national service through AmeriCorps VISTA in a small town of north central Arizona called, Prescott. The first position focused on increasing the use of supplemental nutrition assistant program at the local farmers markets, and the second position focused on creating a culinary training and gardening program for a local organization serving formerly homeless veterans. Willie also earned his B.A. in Prescott, AZ at Prescott College. Willie earned a self-designed degree that integrated the school’s Global Studies and Human Development programs.
