Dani Sanchez

Daniela “Dani” Sanchez joined Housing Action Illinois as an AmeriCorps VISTA Leader in 2023. Prior to this, they worked for two years as a VISTA for a non-profit on the west side of Chicago that co-designs spaces for young people to empower themselves. The position helped them to develop leadership, communication, and project management skills as a member of the programming team; developing a program manual, and as a marketing and communications coordinator; working to raise the organization’s profile on social media. As their mother loves to say, “Learn what you can, you’ll always find a use for it” (Aprende lo que puedas, siempre le encuentras uso).
