Wally King

Wally King is the Executive Director of The Bethany Village Family Crisis Resource Center in Anna, Illinois. Bethany Village provides food, shelter, clothing, and supportive services to the homeless and those in danger of homelessness in southern Illinois. Prior to re-locating to the southern part of the state, Mr. King was the Employment Manager for the ex-offender re-integration program at the Evelyn T. Stone University College of Roosevelt University in Chicago. During his time at Roosevelt, he served on both the Governor’s ex-offender Task Force and Congressman Danny Davis’s ex-offender Committee. Prior to working at Roosevelt, Mr. King worked in the private sector in Chicago for many years primarily in sales and marketing. He has been very active in the Southern Illinois Continuum of Care where he is a past Co-Chairman. The continuum serves the lower 27 Counties of southern Illinois. Mr. King earned a Bachelors’ degree at Southern Illinois University in Political Science. He is committed to advocating for public policy that addresses the problems of poverty and homelessness in an efficient, effective, and caring manner.
